Potain Hup arrives in Australia

Australian contractor Mosaic Construction has taken delivery of a Potain Hup 32-27 self-erecting tower crane.

The Hup 32-37 has a maximum capacity of four tonnes, and can handle one tonne at its 32 metre jib tip. It is Mosaic Construction’s second Potain self-erecting crane, with the company having previously owned an Igo 36. The Hup 32-37 went straight to work on a new residential development named Cyan, in Caloundra, Queensland.

The new Potain Hup 32-27

Director Brendan Dale said: “The Hup 32-27 was a great choice for this project as it was easy to set up. It also provides multiple configurations, so we can change the working height or jib length when we need to. Our operators really liked the variable speeds of the hoist and trolley on the Hup 32-27. The digital display is also very user friendly. Overall, the Hup 32-27 is fuss free to operate and allows us to focus on the work.”
