Truck sheds platform

A platform came off the side of a delivery truck/trailer as it turned into a junction in Morayfield, Queensland, Australia, this morning, landing on a parked pick up truck/ute, seriously injuring the occupant.

We have very little information at this point and no photographs, but have been told that it was a mid sized boom lift and that it also caused some relatively serious damage to the road surface.

It is another example of how the whole delivery process – loading, Unloading, securing the load, and avoiding low bridges – is by far and away the most dangerous aspect of using a self-propelled aerial work platform.

If and when we receive more information we will of course update this. If you live in the area – which is around 25 miles north of Brisbane – please do let us know if you have any further information.
