Manitou adds to US management team

Manitou has announced three new senior appointments to its North American management team.

Don Vollmar has been appointed vice president of engineering, responsible for driving new solutions and product improvements. Todd Miorin senior director programme management, to focus on implementing strategic programmes within the Compact Equipment division, and Jeffrey Weido as senior director product management and marketing, he will lead the product management, marketing and training teams at Manitou in North America.

Vollmar joins Manitou from CNH Industrial, where he was senior director for the Precision Solutions & Connectivity product line having been with the company for more than four years. Before that he worked with Paccar truck/Peterbilt for six years in similar roles. He started out with as a captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1992 moving to John Deere, and three years later Kohler engine, moving to Peterbilt/Paccar in 2008.

Miorin has 20 years’ experience developing and executing complex projects related to acquisition integration, strategic alliances and product development processes and joins Manitou from Contech Engineered Solutions where he was director of product innovation. He started his career with JLG in 1996, working in various product safety and reliability related roles, moving to commercial operations and then director of the JLG/Caterpillar Alliance Group. In all he spent almost 18 years with JLG.

Weido was previously co-founder and president of i2A, a product/marketing consulting cooperative which has worked with companies such as Terex/Genie, JLG and Generac. Prior to starting i2A, he was marketing for Genie/Terex.
