PSS Hire steps up for Parkinson’s UK

UK based PSS Hire, part of A-Plant, has raised £5,000 for Parkinson's UK through a series of fundraising activities to celebrate the specialist division's 25th anniversary.

The company raised money through activities which included raffle prizes, making and selling cakes, and taking a lot of steps. Staff took part in the Manchester Marathon and the Bath Marathon. They also organised a water bucket challenge, a coffee morning and bake off, as well as scaling the Yorkshire Three Peaks and selling tickets for comedy night 'Shake with Laughter'.

The team presented a cheque for £5,000 to Parkinson's UK which provides support to those living with the progressive neurological condition.

PSS director Mark Hamilton said: "We thought one of the best ways to mark our 25th anniversary was to raise money for charity and it's been wonderful to see how everyone has really done their bit for Parkinson's UK. There have been some tough challenges but also some great times and lots of fun along the way. I would like to thank everyone for their support."

Parkinson's UK regional fundraiser Sarah Green added: "Our thanks go to everyone at PSS Hire for this fantastic donation. This money will make a real difference to supporting those with Parkinson's and the people who care for them. Well done everyone and a massive thank you!"
