More Demags for Wittrock

German rental company Wittrock Group has ordered a further two 250 tonne Demag AC 250-5 All Terrain cranes.

The five axle cranes feature a 70 metre main boom and comes with a 21 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. It also features the IC-1 Plus control system, which provides an optimum capacity for the actual outrigger configuration and slew point selected. The new cranes will be delivered later this year, and will join a fleet that already includes two AC250-5s, which are currently being used in Stuhr, northern Germany and in the Bavarian city of Hof.

Demag AC 250-5

General manager Marcus Wittrock said: “It’s simple - there is no other crane in this capacity class that can meet our needs better than the Demag AC 250-5. And the price/performance ratio is just perfect.”

Established in 1970, Wittrock Group has run a crane rental fleet for over 40 years, and in 2004 started adding aerial lifts to it's fleet, which now includes 130 All Terrain, Rough Terrain and crawler cranes up to 750 tonnes, as well as around 1,000 aerial lifts and forklifts. The company employs 370 throughout 19 locations, and is also a member of System Lift, the German association of independent regional rental companies.
