5. March 2018 | Comments (0)

JLG has appointed Sudhir Power as its distributor for North and West India. JLG Europe recently assumed sales and marketing responsibility for the Indian sub-continent, and has appointed Pankaj Gupta as country manager, working from an office in New Delhi which provides sales and service for the region.

Sudhir Power is principally occupied with the manufacturer and distribution of power generation systems, including generators and solar power etc... but also has an aerial lift division that now handles JLG.

Gupta joined JLG in 2015 in a similar role, following almost seven years with Hilti India, initially as director of marketing and then as general manager. He had previously spent two years with rental company Quippo Equipment as vice president sales and marketing, having joined the company in 2004 following a five year stint with crane manufacturer and distributor Escorts Construction Equipment where he was marketing manager.

He began his career as a consultant with Price Waterhouse, moving to chemical company DCM Shriram in 1995.

Ian Hume, sales director Middle East, Africa and India said: “With Sudhir Power, JLG has partnered with a knowledgeable and strong distributor which offers a unique level of service in the region. JLG’s customers will benefit from the support that Sudhir Power can provide through its extensive branch network. Their appointment will be a significant improvement in fulfilling the need for access equipment on the growing Indian market.”

Sudhir Power’s joint managing director Rahul Seth added: "We are excited to partner with another world leader in the form of JLG Industries. As the emphasis on safety becomes more prominent, we expect the market to grow for JLG access equipment. Our customers are our greatest priority to whom we now offer the advantage of multi-product integrated solutions, which manifest into single – window responsibilities of Sales & Service".
