First German 1850SJ

22. December 2017 | Comments (0)

German rental company Starlift, part of the Kiloutou group, has taken delivery of a 185ft JLG 1850SJ telescopic boom lift, the first for a German based company.

The 1850SJ has a maximum outreach of 25 metres with an unrestricted capacity of 230kg, a maximum platform capacity of 454kg, and a working height of 58 metres. It is, of course, the largest telescopic boom lift in Starlift's fleet.

(L-R) Thomas Müller from JLG, Peter Kalf, Michael Lange and Stephan Kulawik of Starlift, with Carsten Sacher of JLG

Managing director Stephan Kulawik said: "We are delighted that we now have the world's largest telescopic platform in our machinery as part of our expansion. Our strategy is to grow, and this telescopic platform will make a solid contribution to that. We are in the process of expanding our team and developing new markets."

Starlift has branches in Hamburg, Rostock and Berlin. The company employs 60 and has a fleet of over 800 aerial lifts.
