Dickie Moore 1931 – 2015

Dickie Moore the famous Canadian ice hockey player and founder of Quebec based Dickie Moore Rentals has died

Moore, who would have been 85 next week, died of prostate cancer on Saturday, December 19th. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Joan, and two of his three children - John and Lianne. The Moores lost a third child - Dickie junior - in a car accident in 1970, he was just 21.

Dickie Moore


Moore started his rental company in the Lachine area of Montreal in 1961 while he was still playing professional hockey. Since then the company has expanded steadily, and now operates from four locations, Montreal and Longueuil in Quebec, along with Toronto and Ottawa in Ontario. The company runs a wide selection of aerial lifts, mostly Genie booms and AWP lifts, along with Skyjack scissor lifts.
