Shaun Scurry, who was injured last week whilst using a scissor lift at the Westfield Stratford City construction site, has died in hospital.
Scurry sustained serious injuries on 9th December which we understand involved being crushed between the scissor lift's guard rails and an overhead beam on the development near the 2012 Olympics site in east London.
A statement issued on behalf of Scurry’s employer, Firesafe Installations Ltd, said they were 'deeply saddened' by his death and that their 'thoughts and prayers are with his family'.
Ongoing investigations into the cause of death are being made by Firesafe Installations and the Health and Safety Executive.
