From mining to cranes

Liebherr USA has appointed Shane Kuhlmey as divisional director for crawler cranes, deep foundation machines and maritime cranes.

Kuhlmey joined Liebherr USA in 2018 as divisional director of its mining business, a job he has held for the past six years. He began his career as a salesman for car dealer Miller Hill, leaving in 2002 to join Genesis Attachments - a manufacturer of hydraulic attachments for scrap processing, demolition and material handling - as its Midwest regional manager. The following year he was promoted to national sales manager and after more than nine years in that job was appointed director of North American sales. After six years in the role, he was lured to Liebherr Mining.
