Potain Hup arrives in Indonesia

Construction company PT Indonesia Pondasi Raya has taken delivery of the country's first Hup 32-27 self-erecting tower crane and a MC 310 K12 top slewing crane.

The Hup 32-37 has a maximum capacity of four tonnes, and can handle one tonne at its 32 metre jib tip. The 12 tonne MC 310 K12 has a maximum jib length of 70 metres at which it can handle up to 3.2 tonnes. Both cranes are currently working at separate job sites in West Java, the Hup 32-27 on residential development EcoHome project, and the MC 310 K12 on a shopping mall in Taman Harapan Indah, Bekasi City. The cranes were delivered by Indonesian Potain dealer Multicrane Perkasa.

Owner Manuel Djunako said: “We specialise in foundation work but as our business has expanded we’ve taken on more projects that include above-ground construction, so we need tower cranes to support that. A lot of our projects use precast construction, which can be quite heavy, so we opted for Potain cranes as they have some of the best load charts in the business.”

Established in 1977, PT Indonesia Pondasi Raya is headquartered in Jakarta and works on various building and infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges and underpasses. The company's fleet includes over 100 cranes, the majority of which are crawler and All Terrain machines.
