Baldwins adds to truck fleet

UK based Baldwins Support Services has taken delivery of five Mercedes Grounder 3363 6X4 tractor truck units.

The new trucks, which will be used to support the Baldwins crane fleet, were delivered by Mercedes dealer Northside Truck & Van Leeds with five year full Repair & Maintenance packages.

Baldwins transport director Marcus Gough said: “These vehicles will be based at our newly opened operating centre near Aylesbury and will complement our existing fleet of 8X4 SLTs. They will help to ensure continued high service levels for our sister company Baldwins Crane Hire’s expanding customer base.”

The five new trucks

Northside Truck & Van Leeds manager Richard Popplewell said: “We are happy to continue supporting Baldwins with the growth of their Mercedes fleet of heavy trucks and would like to thank them for the continued confidence in our product.”

Baldwins logistics planner Paul Nicholson added: “The drivers really like the Mercedes heavy truck. One said to me that it makes moving 100 tonnes too easy! They can’t wait to get to work with these new ones.”
