Liebherr reachstackers for Lyon

French river port company Lyon Terminal has taken delivery of a Liebherr LRS 545 reachstacker, with another on order.

The LRS 545 can stack five containers high and has a maximum capacity of 45 tonnes. The reachstackers will be used at the port's location on the Rhone River.

Liebherr Maritime Cranes area manager Anthony Martin-Garin said: "In addition to the exceptional view of the driver's cab, fuel consumption of 12 to 14 litres per hour is 30 percent lower than the market average. In addition, a service interval of 1,000 hours significantly reduces machine downtime."
