Alimak names new CFO

Alimak, the Swedish based mast climber and hoist company, has appointed Tobias Lindquist as chief financial officer.

He is currently the chief financial officer of EF - Education First, based in Shanghai, China for the last 10 years. Prior to that he spent five and half years as corporate controller of the company, based in Lucerne, Switzerland. EF is family owned Swedish company specialising in a wide range of international education projects, including language training, educational travel, academic degree programmes, and cultural exchanges. Lindquist joined EF at the start of 2003, following a year and a half in South Korea with wireless data company 3IC.

He began his career in 1994 when he joined Ericson in Sweden as R&D controller for its GSM base station group. Over the next seven years he moved up through the ranks via a number of different accounting positions, before joining its strategic partner in South Korea - 3IC - in 2001. He will take up his new role at Alimak by the start of September.
