New Advanced depot

UK rental company Advanced Access Platforms has opened a new depot in central London, and taken delivery of new Niftylift hybrid and electric boom lifts.

The new depot is located just across the river from the Millennium Dome and will be stocked with environmentally friendly platforms, starting with a new fleet of Niftylifts, including the new 33ft HR12L low weight battery electric articulated boom lift, which it has been specified with AGM maintenance free batteries – rather than the lithium battery option, and has an overall weight of 2,540kg, with an overall width of 1.79 metres.

Director John Corcoran said: “For us, choosing Niftylifts is a ‘no-brainer’ for working in London. They all conform to the Low Emission Zone requirements and the lower machine weights mean that we can transport them around the city on smaller wagons or trailers, keeping costs down to a minimum.”
