Kalmar Essential arrives in S.America

Kalmar has launched the Essential range of reachstackers, empty container handlers and forklifts in South America.

The Kalmar Essential Range was unveiled in the USA last summer, and in Europe a few weeks later. The South American debut was made at the Intermodal South America conference in São Paulo, Brazil.

Kalmar says the new lower cost models have the same build quality as its pricier machines

The Essential range of reachstackers comprises of four models with capacities ranging from 45 to 57 tonnes. The range of empty container handlers offers a choice of three different capacities - eight, nine and 10 tonnes - and four different mast heights. The 12 fork truck models range from 10 to 18 tonnes that can be customised with a variety of power, mast, cabin and safety options. All new machines feature Kalmar's SmartFleet monitoring and reporting system to help improve operational performance.
