China deal for Alimak

The CoxGomyl maintenance platform subsidiary of Alimak has signed a contract worth almost $6 million with China's Qingdao Conson Development group for a Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) system.

The system will be installed at the Haitian Centre, which will be the tallest building in Qingdao, eastern China. The project covers design, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning of seven sets of BMUs. When completed, the Haitian Center will consist of three towers, with the tallest being 369 metres, and include two five star hotels, a commercial centre, museum and apartments as well as a major convention centre. The project will begin immediately and is expected to be completed around the end of 2019.
