ARA Rental show wrap up

This year’s Rental Show in New Orleans is over with most exhibitors reporting solid order intake and a positive result.

In terms of innovations unveiled at the show, Skyjack, GMG, Snorkel and MEC probably led the way, although the biggest surprise was found on the JLG stand, where the company launched its version of the recently announced 33 metre Hinowa Spider lift – the X1000AJ – a good two months before the Hinowa launch.

Of all the innovations the strongest theme concerns overhead warning/protection systems for scissor lifts, which look as though they will rapidly go mainstream, especially in Europe where demand is growing. The following is brief look at some of the highlights – in alphabetical order!
