Multitel for Smart

UK vehicle mounted platform rental specialist Smart Platform Rental has added the 20 metre Multitel MJ 201 truck mounted platform to its fleet.

The MJ 201 features a main boom and two section telescopic articulated jib and offers up to 12.6 metres of outreach with a working envelope that includes below ground capabilities. Platform capacity is 225kg and includes a full 180 degrees of platform rotation.

The platforms supplied to Smart Platform Rental include a number of optional extras such as secondary guarding/anti-entrapment system on the upper controls and lower controls on an umbilical cable.

The first unit was delivered on the same day that Smart opened its new Bristol depot - see Smart move to Bristol.

Multitel MJ 201

Smart Platform managing director Andy Burt said: “We have looked at different Multitel products in the past over many years but until we more recently looked closely at the MJ 201 we had never seen the way they could add significantly to what we are already offering. Over the next couple of months these platforms will become available throughout the whole of our depot network.”
Established in 2002, Smart Platforms runs a fleet of truck mounted platforms ranging from 10 to 33 metres from its depots in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield.
