Tree trimmer falls

A man trimming trees for the township of Pride, Louisiana – north of Baton Rouge- fell from the platform of the truck mounted lift he was using on Friday, suffering serious injuries.

He is reported to have fallen around 17 metres and landed on the cab of the truck, which absorbed some of the impact of his fall. He was conscious when the emergency services arrived, and was still on the cab roof, waiting for help.
He was carefully brought down and rushed to hospital where his condition was said to be stable. We have no further details of what caused the incident.
