First UK LTM 1450-8.1

UK rental company Baldwins Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 All Terrain crane, the first in the UK.

The eight axle LTM 1450-8.1 can travel complete with its full 85 metre main boom in place, along with outriggers and winch within 12 tonne axle loads. In the UK where axle loads of up to 16 tonnes are tolerated, it can also travel with its seven metre base swingaway extension and up to 24 tonnes of counterweight on board. The crane includes the manufacturer’s VarioBallast adjustable counterweight, and Variobase outrigger set up system.
