First German AC 300-6

German crane rental company Eschbach has ordered a 300 tonne Demag AC 300-6 All Terrain crane, the first company in Germany to do so, after it was launched in the summer - see New Demag AC300-6.

The six axle crane has an 80 metre main boom and also a 21 metre extension, with up to 40 degrees of offset. It can handle up to 15 tonnes on its fully extended main boom.

General manager Frank Eschbach said: “The AC 300-6 can lift a full 15 tonnes even with its main boom fully extended - that’s a monumental achievement for this lifting capacity class.”

Based in Bad Schönborn in south west Germany, Eschbach has over 70 years of experience and belongs to the Gräser-Eschbach group. The company has a fleet of more than 35 cranes with capacities ranging from 30 to 500 tonnes.
