New Dutch dealer for Almac

Italian aerial lift manufacturer Almac has appointed rental company Nijland Service as its distributor for the Netherlands.

Nijland Service has been in business for more than 70 years, and runs a rental fleet of crawler cranes, telehandlers, excavators and forklifts. It is also a JCB dealer and the distributor for Platform Basket spider lifts and Fassi loader cranes.

Vertikal Comment

This is an interesting appointment, the products have until now been offered by Safety lift - the Hinowa distributor - with horticultural machinery and custom tracked scissor lift manufacturer Weterings Mechanisatie also offering Almac scissor lifts alongside its larger machines. However the Netherlands is the largest rental market in Europe for tracked aerial lifts and therefore offers some excellent potential for Almac - so choosing the right distributor is essential.

Nijland is not a mainstream player in the aerial lift market, but with Platform Basket and the possible addition of JCB aerial lifts it is clearly eyeing up the potential. This could work to Almac’s benefit and be a win-win partnership.
