Demag launches AC45 City

Terex Cranes has unveiled its new Demag AC45 City today. Based on the AC40 City the new crane has upgraded or redesigned about 80 percent of the older model. The AC 45 has a 31.2 metre main boom which can telescope with up to 19.7 tonnes. A 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension takes the maximum on board tip height to over 45 metres.

The new model includes the Demag IC-1 Plus control system which monitors the actual outrigger set up and slew position to calculate a specific load chart for that precise position. Power comes from a 260kW MTU Euromot 4 diesel matched to a six speed transmission.

The new AC45 City

Overall length is 8.69 metres, with an overall height of just over three metres. Gross Vehicle Weight depends on counterweight requirements, ranging from 26 to 34 tonnes, with 10 tonne axle weights possible in a practical working configuration. The new model will be available from July next year.

The company also announced a new 300 tonne AC300-6 replacing the 250 tonne AC250-6. It can lift 15 tonnes on its fully extended 80 metre main boom - up from nine tonnes on the AC250. Maximum system length is 118 metres and delivery is schedules for the end of March 2018.
