Two catapulted from platform

Two men were catapulted out of the truck mounted platform they were working from in Litchfield, Minnesota yesterday.

The two men, City employees Michael David Grabow, 40, and Randy Wayne Groskreutz, 54, were using a boom truck with platform to work on a traffic light over the open street, when a large articulated truck struck the platform as it passed underneath, throwing the two out the platform, landing on the top of the trailer. One assumes that they were not wearing harnesses and lanyards,

They were both rushed to hospital, where they are said to be suffering from non-life threatening injuries. The truck driver Lanny Larue, 77, was not hurt in the incident.
