Safety & Access now runs training centres in Nepla and Oman as well as South Korea along with its two UK centres in Nottingham and Immingham.

Joint managing director Rick Statham said: "We are really pleased to report that the two centres in Geoje and Ulsan have passed the stringent audit criteria. Both of these locations are very important strategically in relation to the local shipyards. In addition to the successful training programme so far with Samsung Heavy Industries we are pleased to report that we have also secured a significant amount of government funding which we will be offering our clients to shortly."
