First SX-150 for India

Indian crane and access rental company, ABC Infra Equipment has taken delivery of the first 150ft Genie SX-150 telescopic boom lift to arrive in India.

The SX-150 has a maximum working height of more than 48 metres, an outreach of 24 metres and a 340kg platform capacity. ABC Infra purchased the new boom in order to meet growing demand from large industrial plants, refineries, shipyards and general construction work. The new machine was handled over to managing director Praveen Sharma by Garry Eglin of Genie.

The first Genie SX-150 to be delivered in India


Sharma said: “This will further strengthen our fleet of big booms, while 90 percent of our boom lift fleet is from JLG, we have added a few big booms from Genie in the last three years. Having attended Conexpo this year, we were impressed by the quality products made by Genie and decided to go ahead with the purchase. Customer demand for boom lifts with working heights over 40 metres has increased substantially in recent times. In order to meet this demand.”

ABC Infra Equipment operates from six locations across India, and offers a wide range of aerial lifts for rent, including truck mounted platforms, boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers. The company also runs a transport business under the Assam Bombay Carriers banner.
