Demag AC45 City coming soon

Terex has released a short video of its early City class cranes, as it limbers up towards the unveiling of the new AC45 City in a couple of months.

Demag launched its first City class crane the AC25 in 1996 followed a year later by the most popular City model, the three axle AC40 of which a 1,000 units were sold before production ceased. At the end of October the company will officially launch its return the market sector with the 45 tonne AC45 City. Plans to re-introduce the Demag City cranes were first announced along with the relaunch of the Demag brand at Bauma last year.

The Demag AC45 City will be unveiled at the end of October

The video is short, but sweet and will bring back fond memories for the many companies that loved the original AC range. Since the line was dropped a good deal has changed, most notably the launch of the three model Kato range which has taken off in a number of European markets, including the UK and Germany. It sounds as though the new Demag 45 will come in just above the Kato range which currently tops out at 35 tonnes, with the two axle CR-350Ri.
Vertikal will be attending the launch and will of course report back. Watch this space.
