The Bronto 101 has an overall length of around 17 metres, depending on which chassis is used, with a width of 2.55 metres and overall height of four metres. Typical Gross Vehicle Weight will be 62 tonnes. The unit offers 360 degree continuous rotation slewing.

The new Bronto is painted in red and white livery as it is being purchased by Maes for fire department work. The fire fighting version offers a maximum outreach of up to 28 metres at heights of up to 62 metres, the maximum up and over reach height.

Lift capacity is 400 kgs and the unit can also extend to 7.8 metres below ground level, for work in applications such as dockside work. Maximum nominal water discharge capacity, assuming an adequate supply pressure, is 3800 litres a minute.

Albert Maes of Maes Hoogwerkers, Belgium visited the Bronto Plant in Tampere last week to view the finished product. The machine will be shipped following a few finishing touches and final inspection.
