Deutz and Liebherr engine agreement

German engine manufacturer Deutz has reached an agreement with Liebherr to distribute and service four Liebherr diesel engines with capacities from nine to 18 litres, which it will market under the Deutz brand, adding to the existing range of Deutz TCD products.

Production is planned to begin in 2019, in time for the introduction of the new EU Stage V emissions standard. The four engines will meet the EU Stage V and other global emission standards.

Deutz, with its well-established global distribution network and extensive range of services, will be able to attract new customer groups for our collaboratively produced engines.”

Deutz chairman Frank Hiller added: “The new engines resulting from our collaborative relationship with Liebherr supplement our product range perfectly. They allow us to cover additional power output ranges and specific applications. Customers also benefit from our integration skills and our after-sales expertise.”
