The Wolff 6020 Clear is based on the 6015 Clear

The 6015 was introduced in 2008 and the new model is essentially an extensive upgrade, incorporating the latest Wolf technology along with higher long reach capacities. It will be available in two versions – the six tonne maximum capacity 6020.6 Clear and the eight tonne 6020.8 Clear with three different tower connections for each model- the narrow UV 15 (1.5 metre square) tower system or wider TFS 20 and UV 20 (both of which are two metres square) towers.

The new Wolff 6020 Clear has choice of three towers - with 1.5 and 2.0 metre square outside dimensions

The 6020.6 boasts a two tonne jib tip capacity, while the 6020.8 offers 1.8 tonnes compared to 1.5 tonnes on both of their predecessors. Both are designed for pure two fall operation. The six tonne crane has a new Hw628.1 FU hoist for faster line speed with up to 108 metres a minute. In the eight tonne crane retains the well proven Hw845 FU hoist. The trolley has been redesigned with the old wheel flange rollers replaced with rollers without wheel flanges and a new guide roller on the jib.

The base configuration no longer includes counterweights or jib extension sections, allowing buyers to use counterweight blocks from their existing Wolff fleet, or buy them separately as required.

The lower jib chord connections have also been redesigned to improve the transfer of forces and allow for smaller, more practical bolts, which are said to make assembly easier. Finally the new cranes feature a higher percentage of galvanised parts, including guard rails, platforms, covers and bolts.

Product manager Gerd Tiedtke said: "Inspired by customer feedback, we have fitted the counter jib with transport aids in the form a special support structure to securely hold up to three jib sections on the counter jib during transport."
“The counter jib has also been fitted with new railings that are suitable for attaching safety harnesses thus improving the safety for technicians working on the counter jib. The 6020 clear also features support beams for the easy positioning of the bracing rods that were introduced to the clear models several years ago and considerably facilitate assembly of the counter jib.”

“The electronic overload protection with Wolff Boost, the latest generation of frequency inverters in the hoist drive, the anti-collision interface, the hoisting gear with automatic power reduction as well as the telecommunication system Wolff Link are technical features that can only be sourced together from Wolffkran.”.
