Truck mount overturn

An 18 metre truck mounted lift overturned in Waterford, Ireland yesterday, injuring the man in the platform.

The incident occurred at an apartment block in the city on the site of the Old Infirmary, the platform is one of two owned by pressure washing company Maxpower. The photographs we have been sent show that the machine was set up with retracted outriggers and clearly exceeded its working envelope or was subject to an overload for this configuration. The injured man is not seriously hurt but was taken to hospital with leg injuries.
