Liebherr MK 140 to Switzerland

Swiss crane rental company VHB has taken delivery of a Liebherr MK 140 mobile self-erecting tower crane.

The five axle MK 140 has a 1,900kg jib tip capacity at radius of 58.5 metres with the jib in horizontal ‘trolley’ configuration, while it can also be used in full luffing more with a range from 20 to 70 degrees, achieving a maximum hook height of 94 metres and a maximum radius of 65 metres with a 1,000kg capacity. It went straight to work on a bakery renovation job in Ecublens near Lausanne.

The MK 140 is handed over

VHB operates from six locations, with around 200 employees. The MK 140 is its third Liebherr mobile self-erecting tower crane, joining a fleet that includes a MK 88 and an MK 110, as well as a 50 tonne Liebherr LTM 1050-3.1 All Terrain crane.
