Ladder platform collapse

A man working for a sign contractor was seriously injured on Friday in Sunbury, Pennsylvania – north of Harrisburg - when the ladder platform he was working from parted company with the chassis.

The man, a 21st Century Signs employee, arrived to fix an issue with the CVS Pharmacy sign, he had extended the platform to a height of around five metres when witnesses heard a snapping sound, which most likely were the bolts holding the entire superstructure to the truck chassis giving way. The man fell to the ground, with the platform coming down on top of him. He was rushed to hospital with leg and chest injuries, but is said to be in stable condition.
