14. July 2017 | Comments (0)

Bylor, the joint venture between French construction company Bouygues and UK construction company Laing O’Rourke, has ordered four Kobelco crawler cranes, three 80 tonne CK800G-2s and one 90 tonne CKE900G-2, for the Hinkley Point C power plant in Somerset, England.

The CK800G-2 can lift its maximum capacity at three metres and the CKE900G-2 at 3.6 metres. Both cranes feature Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engines.

Alain Mazzia, Bylor's head of equipment and operations said: “These versatile crawler cranes have been chosen for their high performance and excellent green credentials. Bylor will be delivering over 40 major structures across the project and the cranes will be extensively used as our programme intensifies.”

Kobelco Europe sales manager Mark Evans added: “Kobelco Cranes is extremely pleased to have been selected as the supplier of crawler cranes for this landmark project and we look forward to a long and very successful relationship with Bylor.”
