Gottwald for Spanish terminal

Spanish terminal operator Noatum Terminal Castellon has taken delivery of a 125 tonne Konecranes Gottwald G HMK 6507 B mobile harbour crane.

The new four-rope variant crane features 51 metres of outreach and a maximum lift speed of 120 metres a minute. It has already started operations at the terminal, situated 80 kilometres north of Valencia, handling bulk and other cargo types.

Noatum Terminal Castellon chief executive Joaquin Ramon Lestau said: “With this Model 6 crane, we aim to extend and optimise our bulk activities. As we also offer all kinds of cargo handling services in our terminal in Castellon, the machine will allow us to load and unload all kinds of commodities including project cargo and containers. Moreover, since Noatum already operates seven Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour cranes of different sizes and generations in other port terminals, this new investment proves, beyond any doubt, how we value the reliability of the machines from Konecranes.”
