600 more Hiabs for India

Indian truck and vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors has ordered 600 more Hiab loader cranes for the Indian army.

The cranes will be mounted on special Tata military trucks for the Indian Defence Forces for transportation and the loading of supplies, spare parts and other operational equipment. The new order follows on from the delivery of over 1,450 Hiab loader cranes to the army last year - 1,200, mounted on Tata trucks and 250 delivered through Ashok Leyland, mounted on its Super Stallion 8x8 High Mobility trucks. The latest units are scheduled to be delivered later this year.
