Schares invests in growth

German crane and access rental company Schares has ordered 44 new aerial lifts and telehandlers.

The new order includes 24 platforms from JLG, including 12 scissor lifts, two Hybrid articulated boom lifts, four Toucan mast booms and six straight telescopics. In addition it has purchased six new Niftylift booms – two battery electric and four hybrid units, and finally six slab electric Skyjack scissor lifts.

On the telehandler front the company has placed orders for six Merlo machines, including compact six metre/2,500kg fixed frame models and 30 metre 360 degree Rotos. The entire order is complete with two JCB fixed frame telehandlers.

The JLG units are handed over


Schares has also set up a new operator training centre for customers, covering forklifts, aerial work platforms, 360 degree telehandlers and cranes.
