2 Cousins takes first JCB scissors

UK rental company 2 Cousins Powered Access has taken delivery of the first JCB aerial work platform to be delivered - a 19ft S1930e slab scissor lift - having placed the order at the product launch in February.

The 762mm/30inch wide S1930e has a platform capacity of 227kg and is one of nine slab electric scissor lift models from JCB, ranging from the 15ft S1530e to the 45ft S4550e.

Oxford based 2 Cousins managing director Jason Prisley said: “The company is under new leadership and we want to make our mark. There is no better way than to write our name in the history books as the first ever JCB Access customer in the world. I have run a fleet of JCB telescopic handlers before and have worked with key members of the JCB Access team before, so I was in no doubt that the quality of new equipment and the level of service would be everything you would expect.”

JCB Access managing director Richard Butler added: “We have been truly overwhelmed by the positive reaction from the industry. Enquiries and early sales have soared above expectations and when established players such as 2 Cousins place immediate orders it fully justifies JCB’s entry into the sector.”

By the end of the year JCB says it will offer a range of 27 platforms, including nine electric and three diesel scissor lifts, five articulated booms and 10 telescopic boom lifts.
