Safety Maintenance expands

UK-based The Safety Maintenance Company has opened a new training facility and appointed Janine Sibson as operations manager

The Leeds-based company has added two new training rooms - one of which is a touch screen training suite and an administration office - all located in the new building opposite its existing indoor/outdoor training centre. The addition takes the number of classrooms on site to five. All offer a range of training courses including IPAF, PASMA, CITB, City & Guilds, NPORS and UKATA. The new administration offices will house the company’s operations and tele sales team and The Safety Consultancy Business.

At the same time the company has appointed Janine Sibson as operations manager. She joins the company after 20 years with the CITB, where she had a number of responsibilities over the years, most recently as employer funding manager for construction companies throughout the Yorkshire & Humber region. Prior to that she was health & safety product manager for more than five years.

Joint managing directors Michael Havercroft and Damian Dunne said: “We are in our sixth year of our Safety Training business and have seen consistent year on year controlled growth, this new facility along with the appointment of Janine to run the operational side of the business will provide our loyal and growing client base with additional delegate space, more courses, along with the professional, friendly, flexibility of course dates we have always prided ourselves on.”

“100 percent of our business is solely focused on safety training and consultation. The majority of our work comes from the construction Industry. With this new capacity to train over a 100 delegates a day we will be offering new training courses to various other Industries which will be announced in the near future.”
