The new Multitel MS100 uses existing Multitel lift components

The new platform is based in the company’s existing lift mechanism with a large profile two section telescopic boom topped by a 3.3 metre long, 1.85 metre long platform achieving a working height of 10 metres, with a platform capacity of 400kg it also includes up to 500mm of lateral movement to get closer to walls etc… while leaving the chassis free to travel safely.

The large platform can traverse either side of centre by up to half a metre

The lift is mounted on a 3.5 tonne Nissan NT400 Euro 6 chassis with an overall width of 1.9 metres, including stabilisers. The unit can achieve a six metre working height without setting the stabilisers, and an optional hydraulic friction drive allows the machine to travel at speeds of up to 5kph while elevated.

The unit will be on display at Apex next week before moving to Suisse Public in Bern.

Vertikal Comment

This unit is similar in many respects to the Aichi TZ range which includes 10, 16 and 20 metre models, the largest of which was marketed in several European countries around 15 years ago. It is however a lighter, much simpler machine and almost certainly a great deal less expensive. It can also be seen as a simpler more cost effective alternative to the Sky Aces Tunlift, now a Palfinger Italia product, and closer still to the 11 and 15 metre Co.Me.t Solar models.

It may have a wider appeal than the company possibly anticipates, not only for tunnel or stret lighting work, but also tree trimming in city streets.
