Kalmar president Antti Kaunonen said: "Services are a strategic focus area for us, and we want to become a true service driven company. I am very pleased that we were able to find a new leader for services from within Kalmar. I am confident that Thomas' energy and drive coupled with his past experience from both mobile equipment and services will help us drive growth in services."

Malmborg added: "I am very excited about this opportunity to lead our transformation toward making service the heart of our business. Anything to do with Kalmar, Sweden interests me because I read Pehr Gyllynhamar's book People At Work. The book transformed my style of management and improved my employee relations quite well.
