The crane overturned when the ground gave way

The crane, a two axle Tadano owned by local crane rental company Pfieffer Cranes, was working on a new timber frame building in the Trevallyn area of the city last Friday, with a fully extended main boom, when one of the rear outriggers appears to have punched through the ground surface, causing the crane to overturn. We do not know if outrigger mats had been used.
