Five Demags for Sutch

UK rental company John Sutch Cranes has ordered five Terex All Terrain cranes, including a 220 tonne Demag AC 220-5, two 60 tonne Demag AC 60-3s, and two used 55 tonne Terex Challenger 3160s.

The five axle AC 220-5 features an eight section 78 metre main boom plus a 21 metre bi-fold swingaway extension to achieve a maximum tip height of 102 metres. The three axle AC 60-3 has a 50 metre main boom, and is equipped with a 16 metre extension. The Challenger 3160 has a 50 metre main boom and can lift up to 35.6 tonnes at a four metre radius.

John Sutch Cranes operations manager Hayley Sutch-Ware said: “I visited the plant in Zweibrücken at the end of last year and was tremendously impressed not only by the high quality of the cranes made by Terex and Demag, but also by the equally robust production standards implemented at the plant. The company’s booth at Conexpo just confirmed those first impressions.”

Terex regional sales manager Tim Leech added: “Sutch has been an important customer for a long time now, and the fact that they decided to buy half a dozen of our cranes is something that we’re naturally very happy about.”
