Banner acquires Premier

UK based Banner Plant has acquired Premier Plant and Tool Hire in a share purchase agreement.

Premier is one of the largest independent tool and equipment rental companies in the East Midlands and operates from two depots in Leicester. The fleet includes telehandlers, aerial work platforms and scaffold towers along with more general equipment and power tools etc….

Premier has been owned and managed for the past 17 years by Rob Hughes, 47, and he will be remain on board as general manager Leicester under Banner Plant ownership. The company will continue to operate as normal but will benefit from the larger Banner fleet, particularly in the area of powered access.

The transaction completes this morning. Banner Plant is owned by UK construction company Henry Boot and operates from seven locations in Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire. Its powered access fleet includes booms from Genie, JLG and Niftylift up to 86ft, and scissor lifts from JLG, Genie, Skyjack and Snorkel ranging from a Bravi Leonardo to a 53ft Genie GS5390RT.
