GTAccess installs more Trackunit systems
UK rental company GTAccess is equipping 180 more machines in its fleet with Trackunit access control and telematics technology.
Retrofitting the Trackunit devices will also make its GTA Secure option available on over half of its fleet of 1,500 units. GTA Secure allows customers to restrict usage of the machine they rent to their approved operators, which can be controlled by either a GTA Secure card or IPAF PAL Smartcard. It also allows the company to restrict the hours of use on its machines.
Users can contact the company at any time to find out when and for how long and who a machine has been used for on any given date. The system also has embedded GPS to enable live tracking, so a missing machine can be located in real time.

GTAccess managing director Jonathan Till said: “All new platforms are fitted with the Trackunit Dual ID system either on the production line or during final inspection prior to delivery to us. Trackunit’s deep integration with IPAF and its PAL Smartcard significantly improves safety by ensuring only qualified and competent operators use our equipment and the integration with our rental management helps us make further operational efficiencies.”
