SPS expands wide platform range

Dutch based manufacturer of special lifts, Smart Platform Solutions, has extended the number of boom lifts that can be equipped with its four metre extra wide platform and added a five metre wide version.

The 86ft JLG 860SJ with four metre platform

The SPS wide platform range started with a JLG 400S, equipped with a four metre wide aluminium basket, the company has now developed this platform and a five metre wide version for boom lifts with articulating jibs, including JLG telescopic boom models the 46ft 460SJ 86ft 860SJ and 135ft 1350SJP. Manitou booms including the 85ft 280TJ telescopic and 46ft 160ATJ+ articulated boom, plus Haulotte’s 69ft telescopic the HT23RTJ.

The Haulotte 23RTJ with wide platform

Platform capacities range from 230 to 270kg or two people for the JLG and Haulotte models, to 270 to 320kg – two to three people for the Manitou models. The units maintain a very similar working-envelope to the standard models and are aimed at cleaning or installation work on large facades or sound barriers alongside highways. SPS says that the advantage is that they require fewer re-positioning movements to cover the same surfaces.
