Crane overturn in Texas

A crane went over yesterday in Irving, Texas while carrying out a lift on a site in the Las Colinas area of the town which is close to Dallas Fort Worth airport.

The crane was working with full stick

The man who was injured was taken to hospital but is not thought to be seriously injured. The crane owned by local crane company Davis, was working with full five section boom out plus full bi-fold swingaway extension.

Details are scarce but it looks as though the ground might have given way under one of the outrigger jacks, but it is impossible at this stage to be sure of this. We will update when we have more information.
