Manitex considers ASV sale

US based crane group Manitex International has announced that it is considering strategic alternatives for its A.S.V. joint venture with Terex in which it holds a 51 percent stake.

Its statement went on to say that it is conducting a board level review which will consider the sale of its stake to a private buyer or floating the company through a public offering.

Manitex acquired its controlling interest in ASV which manufactures track assemblies and tracked skid steer loaders from Terex in late 2014. Terex acquired ASV - a public company at the time - in January 2008 and retains a 49 percent stake. See Terex forms JV with Manitex
While options are being considered it has also said that it may ultimately decide to do nothing, and does not plan to comment further unless a decision is made that requires further action.
