13 new Kalmars to Dubai

Dubai based terminal operator DP World Jebel Ali Port has ordered 13 eight tonne Kalmar DCG80-45ES8 container handlers.

The new machines can stack eight containers high, and are fitted with the Kalmar SmartFleet monitoring system to manage productivity. Delivery of the machines is scheduled to begin in April, and be completed by the end of the year.

Kalmar key account manager for DP World, Suresh Ananthanarayan said: "This is the first order of Kalmar's new range of empty container handlers for the Middle East and Africa region. The new product matches the requirements for the region's busiest and most demanding port and demonstrates Kalmar's advancements in product offering."
